26 hours on a bus and rather alot of hanging around later we made it to Lima. This was only possible thanks to a friendly couple we met, the girl of which was Spanish and she was able to sort out the confusion at the change over point, phew!!
The landscape on the Peruvian coast is such a stark contrast to Ecuador, dry and desert like. Central lima is rather modern and built up. We spent a couple of days wandering around and trying to recover from the bus journey to do another 20 hour one to Cusco.
